For a growing brand — especially a lean team — the operational efficiency becomes incredibly valuable very quickly.

The background

A lean team with an intentionally high bar.

Industry veteran Jamie Banks founded Change of Scenery in 2022 to create luxury women’s swim and resortwear. The company operates with a focused team of six consultants alongside outside agencies and manufacturing partners.

That structure keeps the brand agile, but it also makes clear coordination essential. Every product detail has to be easy to find, current, and ready to share.

The challenge

Excel had become a product database it was never designed to be.

As the range expanded, tech packs became cumbersome, oversized spreadsheets. Versions, bills of materials, approvals, fabrics, trims, packaging, and costing were split across Dropbox, email, and linked files.

The team spent too much time locating the latest information and repeating communication with factories. The workflow worked, but it would not scale cleanly.

Why Lifecycle

A platform shaped around how the team actually works.

The Change of Scenery team chose Lifecycle because the product and implementation approach reflected the realities of a growing fashion business. The Lifecycle team listened closely to the brand’s day-to-day process and used that context to simplify the workflow.

Materials, trims, packaging, styles, and development decisions are now accessible in one place instead of buried in attachments and folder structures.

It creates consistency across the entire development process and removes so much of the chaos that comes from managing product development across spreadsheets, emails, and disconnected folders.

Cleaner development

Better tech packs, fewer emails, faster seasonal setup.

Tech packs are cleaner for factories and easier for the team to carry into a new season or bulk production. Shared product context reduces duplicate supplier communication and makes deadlines easier to manage.

Keeping the latest approved information attached to each material, trim, and style also reduces the risk of someone acting on an outdated file.

The result

Operational consistency without adding operational weight.

Lifecycle gives Change of Scenery a consistent development process while preserving the speed of a lean team. Less time is spent reconciling spreadsheets, emails, and folders; more time can go into the collection itself.
